Educated as an interior architect at the University of Art and Industry in Helsinki and at the University of Design & Crafts HDK) in Gothenburg. With Finnish roots, she grew up in a family of artists in Finland with a mother as textile artist and a father as interior and furniture architect. In addition to design Tuula’s assignment consists of both public and private interiors at Falk Architects in Åtvidaberg, which she runs together with the architect Anders Falk. In 1996, she became Furniture Designer of the Year in Finland and she has been awarded the White Rose of Finland (2018) for their collaboration with several Finnish furniture companies. Everyday design with quality characterizes Tuula’s approach to design and her lines is inspired by the soft design language of nature.

Borås Cotton develops and markets interior textiles adapted for home public environments. “Art on fabric” describes our way of working and represents the connection between Borås Cotton’s tradition of keeping the freedom of the skilled designer at the center and high quality textiles.
